Establishing Healthy Habits

We believe prevention is key to maintaining optimal oral health throughout your pet's life. By feeding the right foods, brushing your pet’s teeth, and introducing other dental products, you can significantly reduce the chance of future complications. Our team is here to help you establish these vital habits with a personalized consultation with one of our veterinarians.

COHAT (Comprehensive Oral Health Exam & Treatment)

Despite the best preventative care, many pets still require dental surgeries during their lifetime. This is where a COHAT comes in a thorough procedure to ensure your pet's dental health is fully assessed and treated.

The COHAT includes:
Initial Examination: We assess your pet’s mouth for signs of gingivitis, tartar buildup, tooth fractures, wear, and occlusions (misalignments).
Pre-Anesthetic Screening: To ensure your pet is healthy and ready for anesthesia.
Full Mouth Radiographs: These X-rays help us see what's happening below the gum line; most dental issues are hidden under the surface. Radiographs enable us to identify bone loss or pockets of bacteria, helping us decide if any teeth need removal.
Complete Descaling & Polishing: Both above and below the gum line to ensure your pet’s mouth is thoroughly cleaned and protected.

If you think your pet could benefit from a dental exam or COHAT, don't hesitate to reach out. Our team is here to help you keep your pet’s smile bright and healthy!
