At Yonge Street Animal Hospital, we are committed to providing opportunities for students interested in pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. We offer a limited number of volunteer positions for high school and university students, enabling dedicated individuals to observe and participate in the daily operations of our hospital. Additionally, we host high school co-op students and placements from veterinary technician and veterinary medicine programs.
We also support students and professionals from international veterinary schools, providing practical Canadian experience to individuals from countries such as Brazil, Germany, Scotland, Iran, India, Bulgaria, and the West Indies.
Our goal is for all students and volunteers to gain valuable experience and skills that will help them advance in their veterinary careers. While we strive to accommodate as many students as possible, we limit the number of spots to ensure each participant receives a meaningful and enriching experience.
